The program in Politics, Philosophy and Economics gives students a mastery of methods and content, providing them with scientific knowledge of contemporary politics.
The bachelor’s degree program in Political Science gives students a scientific knowledge of contemporary politics to master political and institutional phenomena, debates on fundamental questions of our time, and the economic aspect of contemporary reality.For this purpose, the course program provides an interdisciplinary theoretical framework, which includes economics, politics, philosophy, law, sociology, history and communications. This is designed to encourage the ability to grasp the relationships between the economic system, the political system and institutional structures. Teaching is done through lectures workshops and laboratories.

Students must choose their major upon enrollment.

The course lasts five or six semesters and begins in the I semester of the I year. Levels beginning with C1.1 begin in the II semester of the I year.

The final project for the bachelor’s degree program requires students to write a paper on a topic in which they have taken a course. Students are not required to defend their thesis orally.

Course topics: the concept of data, information and its coding; software and hardware components that are the basis of digital devices used in the business environment; the main characteristics of modern communication networks and protocols, web architecture, cloud computing, software application as a solution to specific problems, algorithms and programming, databases and Big Data, computer security, the risks of malware and the exposure of sensitive information for both individuals and companies.
In order to pass the final exam, students must first pass prerequisite exams
At the end of the three-year program, graduates will be ready for internships in the ranks of public administration, of national and international institutions, private businesses, in sectors related to organization, management of human resources and external relations, as well as public and private entities that operate internationally and in communications.
However, the majority of graduates go on to master’s programs in the awareness that the knowledge and interdisciplinary experience acquired in the three-year period needs to be refined and completed in order to be better appreciated by the job market.

Erasmus+ and Bilateral Exchange Programs
The Luiss Student Exchange Office manages and promotes student exchanges within the Erasmus Program, as well as through bilateral exchange agreements with non-European universities. The procedures are based on the ECTS system. All eligible students can apply to be selected for an opportunity to study abroad on an Erasmus+ or Bilateral exchange in one of our several partner Institutions. Our Erasmus+/Bilateral network currently boasts 218 agreements with Higher Education Institutions in 46 countries, and it grows every year.

Carla Liuni was born in a small town called Catanzaro in Calabria. She is the first of three sisters and thanks to her father’ support at the age of 18 Carla attended Luiss University in Rome where she got a degree in Economics as well as a Master Degree in Marketing.
Carla had an exciting career with P&G for over 20 years in London, Germany, Geneva and Singapore.
She has spent over 10 years in Prestige category across a variety of brands and roles. She played a key leadership role in transforming the Dolce & Gabbana business from a relatively small fragrance brand, when P&G acquired it, to what is today recognized as one of the leading Beauty house in the market. She then moved to Singapore as Regional Commercial leader for Asia Pacific, where she led the business back to double digit growth while making powerful interventions to the organization structure and built capabilities to ensure in market competitiveness.
When she left P&G, Carla was General Manager of Prestige Luxury Brands. In this role, she had been responsible for leading portfolio (Gucci, DG, Hugo Boss, AMcQueen, Stella Mcartney…) and innovation strategies for global top and bottom line.
In 2015 she took over as BVLGARI Global Marketing and Communication Vice President. She is now responsible for marketing and communication vision, strategy and implementation worldwide for the Bulgari brand across the 5 BU’s (jewelry, watches, accessories, fragrances and hotels).
She owns brand image and overall visibility of the brand (paid, owned and earned) across the world. She is accountable for global A&P spending, investment choices by BUs, by region and by mktg activities (ATL and BTL).
Carla is married and has three very energetic boys aged fifteen, eleven and ten.
QTEM Masters Network
After a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management, I enrolled in the Master’s program in Finance and participated in QTEM, an amazing experience both at an academic level and at a personal level, which helped me develop useful skills for the future market.
I now live in Frankfurt, where I work as an analyst in the Finance Directorate of the European Central Bank, dealing with budgeting, strategic planning, project governance and management reporting. In the future I’d like to continue this career in large-scale international institutions.
