The Luiss master’s program in International Relations prepares graduates for careers in diplomacy, as international security experts for both the public and private sectors and in the management of Euro-Mediterranean issues. The program furthermore responds to the growing need for highly trained figures within international organizations and the traditional diplomatic sector that are able to handle both old and new, emerging challenges.
Graduates of the program may begin careers with international and European organizations, as specialists in international and European politics, international affairs reporters, journalists, private consultants or consultants to the armed forces.

Erasmus+ and Bilateral Exchange Programs
The Luiss Student Exchange Office manages and promotes student exchanges within the Erasmus Program, as well as through bilateral exchange agreements with non-European universities. The procedures are based on the ECTS system. All eligible students can apply to be selected for an opportunity to study abroad on an Erasmus+ or Bilateral exchange in one of our several partner Institutions. Our Erasmus+/Bilateral network currently boasts 218 agreements with Higher Education Institutions in 46 countries, and it grows every year.
Structured Partnership Exchange and Double Degree Programs
The International Development Office offers to students a wide range of structured partnerships and double degree programs they can apply for, depending on the specific Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program they’re currently enrolled in or the program they’re willing to enroll in for the next academic year.
CFO Gruppo Leonardo - Finmeccanica
Graduated in Business & Management, 1996
Alessandra Genco is the CFO of Leonardo, the Italian aerospace and defense company. She was previously Vice President Group Finance, in charge of capital markets, treasury, investments and insurance activities.
Prior to joining Leonardo, she spent seven years in the US where she worked in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs as Vice President in their New York Office.
She covered clients across numerous industries, including financial sponsors. She holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a M.Sc. in Economics from Luiss Guido Carli University. She is on the board of various companies, in Europe and in the US. Strongly committed to the theme of diversity, she serves as mentor of talented young women.

It all started with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and ended with a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance. Throughout my studies, I constantly participated in several initiatives promoted by students and actively sponsored by Luiss to complete and bolster my education.
Studying at Luiss was a winning choices it provided the base to tackle the selection challenges of leading global financial institutions, where the competition is fierce and all candidates have outstanding curricula. Currently I work in the Investment Banking Team of Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Milan office after a six-month internship.
