Students who obtain their secondary school leaving qualification abroad and wish to enroll in bachelor’s degree programs may submit their applications according to the procedure below.

Documents or information required to complete the online application process:

– academic transcript showing the studies completed to date and associated grades (grade point average);
– details of the teacher chosen to provide a reference letter (including an e-mail address; upon submission of the application, the educator will receive a request to send the reference letter);
– other optional certification (for example, SAT, ACT, GMAT or GRE);
– a short motivation letter (maximum 2,400 characters spaces included).

Candidates participating in a specific project or scholarship program (for example, Sub-Saharan Africa Project or Luiss IB Honors Program) are requested to specify that fact in the motivation letter.

Eligible candidates will be examined by a special admissions commission, which – at its absolute discretion – will draw up a ranking taking into account candidates’ academic record, motivation for applying for the degree program, age, International Qualifications scores (if any).

Candidates will be conditionally admitted at first, and fully admitted solely upon receipt of the original documentation, the statement of equivalent value. If you’re a non-EU student, you can contact for more information about the Visa and to ask for a letter for your Visa request.

Luiss IB Honors Program

Luiss gives the most deserving students who will earn an IB Diploma abroad in the academic year 2019/2020 the opportunity to participate in a dedicated selection process.

In fact, those students will be granted direct admission at Luiss to bachelor’s degree programs held in English for the 2020/2021 academic year, subject to fulfilling the following requirements:

  1. IB study plan includes:
  • at least one subject in the Individuals and Societies academic area for the “Politics, Philosophy and Economics” and “Economics and Business” programs;
  • at least one subject in the Sciences academic area for the “Management and Computer Science” program;
  1. average grade of at least 6 out of 7 in the above-mentioned courses in the first year of the IB Diploma Program (penultimate year of secondary education).

Candidates from schools participating in the IB Honors Program may compete for a Luiss IB Honors Scholarship, which grants an exemption from tuition fees for the 2020/2021 academic year.
