STUDY AT LUISS UNIVERSITY, Rome for 2018/2019
Alessandra Genco is the CFO of Leonardo, the Italian aerospace and defense company. She was previously Vice President Group Finance, in charge of capital markets, treasury, investments and insurance activities.
Prior to joining Leonardo, she spent seven years in the US where she worked in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs as Vice President in their New York Office.
She covered clients across numerous industries, including financial sponsors. She holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a M.Sc. in Economics from LUISS Guido Carli University. She is on the board of various companies, in Europe and in the US. Strongly committed to the theme of diversity, she serves as mentor of talented young women.
My experience at LUISS consists of a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance, a Master’s degree in Finance and two semesters abroad thanks to the QTEM program. QTEM offers huge growth potential and is therefore a great investment: I’ve been selected for a traineeship position at the European Central Bank, in the department of Market Operations, where I’ve been working since August as a Supervision Analyst in the Risk Analysis and Quantitative Risk division, where I monitor the market, credit and operational risk of EU banks.
