STUDY AT LUISS UNIVERSITY, Rome for 2018/2019
Marco Ficarelli has served as Revlon and Elizabeth Arden’s Senior Vice President Asia since February 2014. He is
responsible for the management and the development of the Revlon and Elizabeth Arden Affiliates, Distributors,
Joint Venture and Ecommerce within the Region.
Prior to this role, he served several other positions within Elizabeth Arden International. He started in 2008 as
General Manager of Italy where he developed the Elizabeth Arden brand with several successful projects and
creating solid partnership with local retailers and successfully launching Prestige brands. Soon after, his role was
expanded with the additional responsibility of the France affiliates on top of the Italian’s, before being promoted
and moved to the International headquarter in Geneva as General Manager Europe (including Russia, Ukraine,
Turkey and other neighboring high-growth countries), Middle East and North Africa for Distributor Markets,
Travel Retail and Duty Free.
Prior to this joining Elizabeth Arden, Marco served Luxottica Group as General Manager for the Nordic European
Region based in Sweden. He began his career in auditing within Deloitte before joining Unilever Italy, and after
Ferrero Group in relevant, international and local marketing & sales positions.
Marco graduated in Management from the LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome, Italy and he was a one year
exchange student at the University of Exeter, UK.
With almost 20 years of experience in FMCG – Luxury & Beauty Products, delivering sustainable top and bottom
line growth and consistently building brand equity, Marco managed and lived in several countries developing a
fast and in-depth understanding of diversified business models, consumer behaviors and cultures.
He believes in the potential of people and considers them as the engine of development and growth.
My experience at LUISS consists of a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance, a Master’s degree in Finance and two semesters abroad thanks to the QTEM program. QTEM offers huge growth potential and is therefore a great investment: I’ve been selected for a traineeship position at the European Central Bank, in the department of Market Operations, where I’ve been working since August as a Supervision Analyst in the Risk Analysis and Quantitative Risk division, where I monitor the market, credit and operational risk of EU banks.
